Artist-in-residence - Sukrit Sen performs songs on water in India

Join Sukrit Sen, an architect and heritage manager by profession and a passionate musician, for a captivating performance at Delft Water Week. As part of his research with the Living Waters Museum, Sukrit has been exploring the deep connection between water and the arts, especially music. He is the second artist-in-residence to visit IHE Delft. The performance is part of the Delft Water Week events.
The performance
Sukrit will present a series of songs that delve into various facets of water in India, including the monsoons, women and water, water and faith, geographic borders, and protests. In an innovative approach, Sukrit will explore water as a medium for sound propagation and use water-carrying utensils as percussion instruments. This unique performance promises to offer a mesmerizing blend of music and the essence of water, taking the audience on an auditory journey through his artistic exploration.
