Mireia Tutusaus Luque

Mireia Tutusaus has over 12 years experience in water supply and sanitation specifically in the field of water governance, organizational management, and finance. She earned a Ph.D. from University of Amsterdam on Public Administration where she researched the commercialization of public water utilities. She accrued extensive experience in the (corporate) private sector before specializing in the water sector. She held teaching and research positions at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (the Netherlands) between 2013 and 2019. She has a track-record of developing and successfully implementing consultancy and technical assistance projects in partnership with public water utilities, NGOs, sector regulators and Ministries including on-location placements in over 10 countries in Africa and South Asia. Mireia is committed to pragmatic research, with a strong focus on implementation. She excels at translating research findings into actionable strategies, and tailoring her work to directly benefit water practitioners, particularly those within water organizations at local, regional, and national levels. As a research affiliate at IHE she mentors MSc and PhD students on topics of Water Services Governance.

She is currently senior programme officer and coordinates the climate adaptation agenda for VEI Dutch Water Operators and the WaterWorX progamme.
