Ewout Heeringa joined IHE Delft in 2011 and he has had several positions at IHE Delft to date. Ewout started first at the Social Cultural Office where he was mainly involved with Student Affairs, which he enjoyed a lot. He was engaged in organizing social events with participants from all over the world. Following this, Ewout worked as Purchasing Officer where he was more involved with negotiating contracts on behalf of IHE Delft such as airlines, catering and hotels.
Ewout’s main highlights were organizing a workshop in Sudan with his colleagues Dr. Suryadi & Dr. Haile and attending field trips in the Netherlands. He is passionate about working in an international environment with staff and participants from all over the world. He already felt at home at the Institute as his father (Mr. Jouke) was working at the Human Resources Department for 20 years before Ewout started his career.
In 2017, Ewout has secured a new position as Contract Management Coordinator in the Liaison Office. Ewout is very pleased to face a new challenge and extend his career at IHE Delft. His tasks are mainly concerned with maintaining contract management procedures, preparing sub contracts for individuals and organizations related to projects, supporting third party hiring and procurement and managing information systems and workflows related to contract management processes.
Ewout hopes to see IHE Delft continuing to grow and develop in such a way that the academic and support staff engage and work more closely together to reach the missions and goals of the Institute. One team, one family.
