Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Water, Sanitation, and Health Engineering from the University of Leeds, with an initial foundation in civil engineering during her undergraduate studies. She has 4 years of practical experience as an Assistant Project Engineer in diverse water supply and sanitation projects in Kenya.
