Enya Enriquez Brambila
Enya Roseli was born in Jalisco, Mexico, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Engineering from the University of Guadalajara and a Master's in Science for the Integral Management of Hydrographic Watersheds from CATIE, Costa Rica. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Hydroinformatics at IHE Delft, supported by CONACYT scholarship. My research is driven by a commitment to environmental stewardship and focuses on the analysis of ecological statuses of tropical rivers, employing methods such as citizen science and ground-base images.
Research Focus
Enhancing River Health Assessments: Integrating Ground-Base Image Data, AI and Citizen Science: El Coajinque Microbasin, Jalisco, Mexico.
The primary motivation for this research stems from the urgent need to monitor and address the ongoing degradation of river ecosystems due to habitat destruction, and human-induced pressures. This research aims to address some river health assessments and citizen engagement challenges by integrating Ground-Based Image data, AI with an existing image classification model such as CLIP, and citizen science practices, proposing an automated, interactive, and accessible method to assess river health in tropical micro-watersheds in Mexico.
