Water and Development Partnership Programme completes initial evaluation of medium-scale proposals
More than 170 project ideas were received in response to a call by IHE Delft’s Water and Development Partnership Programme for medium-scale proposals that bring together inter- and trans-disciplinary teams for work to find sustainable solutions to water challenges, redress injustices and enrich the knowledge on water.
Feedback and next steps
This call follows a two-stage selection process. In the first stage, teams were invited to submit their preliminary ideas, before 12.00 CEST on 22 May 2023. Feedback was provided to all applicants on how to strengthen their projects and/or better align them with the philosophy and focus of the programme. These recommendations include a prospect of the chances of getting funding awarded, which project teams can use to decide whether they will invest in developing full proposals, which are due 12.00 CEST on 3 July 2023. The programme has recommended the teams behind about 20 per cent of the submitted project ideas to advance their submissions into full proposals.
In the second stage, the programme committee will aim to select ten proposals for funding, with final results expected to be announced at the end of September 2023.
More about the partnership programme
The programme envisions a world where inclusive and diverse partnerships and marginalized knowledges transform the ways we know, use, share and care for water. To achieve this, the programme funds bold, creative and transdisciplinary projects that combine research, education and capacity strengthening activities aimed at creating a peaceful, just and sustainable world.
The Water and Development Partnership Programme 2022-2027 is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
