Sudanese IHE Delft alumni, Dalal Siddig, Fatima Mohamed, Igbal Ali, Mahmoud Ahmed and Razan Gamal, will present transformative visions for the Gezira Irrigation Scheme in Sudan.

Under the slogan 'Harvesting insights to cultivate the future'

Sudanese IHE Delft alumni, Dalal Siddig, Fatima Mohamed, Igbal Ali, Mahmoud Ahmed and Razan Gamal, will present transformative visions for the Gezira Irrigation Scheme in Sudan, highlighting pathways and action points and lead a discussion on the future of the scheme in the current conflict and beyond. The visions, developed under the guidance of IHE Delft staff, aim to contribute to the sustainable development of the scheme.

The alumni developed the visions as part of the IHE Delft Water and Development Partnership Programme (Phase 2) project Water Transformation Pathways Planning, which was launched in 2022 and concludes in 2026.
