Alumni OS

'Global Water Education Network (GWEN): update and way forward' by Elfithri Rahmah, Themba Gumbo and Gaetano Casale.

About the seminar

Speakers from IHE Delft,  UNESCO,  the UN Development Programme’s International Capacity Development Network for Sustainable Water Management (Cap-Net) and the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) will discuss the Global Water Education Alliance (GWEN), which was established as part of the UN 2023 Water Conference and the Water Action Agenda. The seminar will present the network and seek feedback and ideas from participants.

GWEN aims to develop and deliver a common global agenda to accelerate capacity development in the water sector in low- and middle-income countries. The network aspires to be truly global and strives to include partners from all parts of the world. The initiative invites all organizations or platforms working on water education to be part of the network.

Lifelong learning

Online seminars form part of lifelong learning resources we offer to the Institute's Alumni. The one-hour seminars feature webcast interactive lectures and discussions. Organized by IHE Delft, the seminars focus on topics selected to suit the interests of alumni and partners, but they are of interest also to a broader audience – feel free to invite colleagues and others who may be interested.

A recording of the seminar will be published on the IHE Delft alumni webpage, IHE Delft YouTube after the event. Earlier seminars are available on this link.
