10 years Urban Sanitation & Hygiene – what has happened & what needs to be done?
On 19 March, IHE Delft & SNV (Netherlands Development Organisation) will reflect on the progress in urban sanitation and hygiene over the past 10 years and exchange ideas about future priorities.
SNV has been actively involved in citywide urban sanitation initiatives since 2012, currently implementing urban sanitation and hygiene programs in over 30 cities. Meanwhile, IHE Delft operates the Global Sanitation Graduate School, a platform aimed at facilitating the development and dissemination of knowledge on sanitation, including an MSc course on on-site sanitation.
During the event, valuable lessons learned will be shared by country colleagues, providing insights for anyone interested in urban sanitation. Additionally, there will be a broader reflection on the progress made and the challenges ahead, especially in light of discussions surrounding the post-2030 water goals.
